Your privacy

Just what we need
to run the show.

This prototype uses an essential session cookie to remember your request and protect forms. The site does not load advertising scripts or third-party fonts. YouTube players load only after you choose a video preview.

Show requests

We store the chosen show, timing, and a random browser identifier. A keyed hash of your connection address helps limit repeated requests. Completed, failed, and cancelled requests are removed after seven days. Active requests are kept until resolved.

Future song suggestions

Song suggestions contain only the title, artist, and optional version you enter. New suggestions are visible only to the family until approved. A protected browser identifier records whether this browser voted for an approved suggestion, and connection-based limits help discourage repeated submissions. Rejected and archived suggestions are removed after 90 days.

Messages

If you use the contact form, your name, email, and message are stored on the family's Raspberry Pi and visible only through the operator inbox. Messages are removed after 30 days. They are not automatically emailed. Please don't send sensitive information.

YouTube video previews

Choosing a preview loads YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. YouTube then receives information such as your IP address, browser details, and the page's origin, and may use storage or collect playback information. Closing the preview removes the player. Viewing a recording does not request a show at the house. Google's privacy policy explains their practices.

Links to the existing Wix site, maps, and other services open those providers' websites. Their own privacy practices apply when you follow them.

Local prototype

The local version uses HTTP on the home network. Public deployment will require HTTPS and a review of the final hosting and payment services. Basic server error logs may contain technical request details for troubleshooting.
