WHERE CREATIVITY MEETS A WHOLE LOT OF WIRE
A peek behind the sparkle
Part art project.
Part engineering adventure.
Every color change and musical moment starts with an idea, then becomes a sequence of carefully timed instructions.
The software
We design and sequence the display with xLights. A digital layout represents the lights on the house, so effects can be choreographed to music. Falcon Player (FPP) plays the finished sequences and audio.
The lights and controllers
Individually addressable RGB pixels let us control color throughout the display. Our previous setup also used P10 panels for a denser display, Falcon controllers to distribute lighting data, and a Raspberry Pi to run the show.
The setup evolves, so we'll share updated counts and equipment details when the next display is ready.
The next chapter: your requests
This website gives visitors a way to request a show and see what's coming next. A separate Raspberry Pi manages the website and queue; the playback controller will continue to handle the carefully timed lights and music.
